TERM 4

Welcome back to all the staff and students.  We hope you all had a good break.

MOSA Inter-school Cross Country

Congratulations to year 4 – 6 students for participating in MOSA Crossing Country competition.  Overall, AMS students came 3rd out of 10 schools.       Year 4 & 5 girls came 3rd.

Year 5 Boys were 2nd.

Khadija Syed from year 5 was awarded 3rd place.

IWCNZ NETBALL TOURNMENT

Our year 7-13 girls will be taking part in the IWCNZ netball tournament on Saturday 29th October at Otara Leisure Centre. All the best to the netball teams.

ASSESSMENTS

During week 2 – 4 there will be assessments in progress, (PAT, EasTTle, topic test).

STUDY BREAK

Study break for years 11-13 (NCEA) students starts from Wednesday 2nd November 2022. Students must use the time to prepare/study for external exams.

END OF YEAR (EOY) exam

End of year exams for years 7-10 will be from 9/11/2022 – 18/11/22 (weeks 4 & 5).

ATHLETICS

MOSA Athletics Day is on 17th November at Massey Park in Papakura.  Some students from years 4, 5 and 6 will participate.

VOLLEYBALL TOURNMENT

Intermediate girls and boys volleyball tournament will take place in the Southwest Zone at Allan Brewster Recreation Centre in Papatoetoe on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th  November. All the best to the teams.

GALA DAY

AMS Gala Day is on Saturday 3rd December. More details will be sent later.

  • 07/12/22 – Award Assembly Years 4-6
  • 08/12/22 – Award Assembly Secondary

(Years 7-13)

  • 08/12/22 – Farewell evening for Year 13 students
  • 09/12/22 – Primary Sports Day
  • 13/12/22 – School finishes for 2022

ATTENDANCE DUES

Jazaakallahu Khairan to the parents who have already paid the attendance dues on time. Those who have not paid, please pay immediately.

REMINDER:  AFTER SCHOOL PICK-UP

All students must be picked-up on time after school.  The teachers are on duty only till 3.45pm.  The students who are not picked up at 3.45pm will be regarded as late in picking and the parents will be responsible if any incidents happen.  For the safety of your children please pick them up on time.

REMINDER:  EARLY PICK-UP ON FRIDAYS

Parents are to pick up their child/children at the designated home time on Fridays which is at 2.30pm. There are many parents/caregivers picking students early on Fridays after returning from Jumu’ah.  Students can only be picked-up early for genuine reasons.
