HIFZUL QUR’AAN CELEBRATION PROGRAMME

Alhamdulillah 3 of our students have completed hifz of Qur’aan.  The celebration was cancelled last week due to lockdown.  The programme will now be celebrated on Tuesday 2^nd March, 2021 from 11.00am – 12 noon at AMS Hall. Please RSVP to info@al-madinah.school.nz or txt to 021675994 by 9am on Monday 1 March 2021.

AMS CLEANING TENDER

You are invited to apply for tender for cleaning services at AMS.  Please send your quotation for the cleaning services in writing to the Principal by emailing to principal@al-madinah.school.nz .  Tender closes on Monday 8 March 2021.

TRIP TO KELLY TARLTONS

Year 1 and 2 are going for a trip to Kelly Tarltons on 08 March, 2021.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

All parents and caregivers are reminded to drop-off and pick-up their children from outside the school gate. Parents and caregivers of Year 1 students need to be dropped at the gate near year 1 and need to come to front door facing the roadside to pick their children after school.  Class teachers will receive and release students from class as they see you.

COVID-19 REMINDER

All parents/caregivers and visitors must sign-in when visiting the school for any reason.  Please follow the government requirements.

REMINDER:  LATE TO SCHOOL

ALL STUDENTS who are late to school must report to the school office and get late pass, which is to be given to the class teachers.  Continuous late arrivals will be followed up by the Deans. Text messages will be sent home of those students who are absent from school and/or late to school. It is very important that parents/caregivers reply to the text. The attendance officer may be involved should the late and/or non-attendance continues.

REMINDER:  SCHOOL HOURS

Students must be in school by no later than 8.20am.  The school finishes at 3.30pm from Monday to Thursday.  On Fridays the school finishes at 2.30pm.  All parents/caregivers must pick up their children immediately after the school break.

SCHOOL LUNCHES

The school canteen provides healthy lunches to the students. Lunches can be ordered daily through the classroom teachers by 8.45am. Cost for lunch is $4.00. Insha’Allah in very near future you will be able to order lunch online from your home.

Menu for lunch is as follows:

 

Monday	Chicken Fried Rice
Tuesday	Sausage Sizzle or Chicken Burger
Wednesday	Chicken Chopsuey
Thursday	Roti Roll/Chicken Sandwich
Friday	Palau or Biryani

 

REMINDER:  Uniform purchase hours

Uniform will only be sold from Monday to Thursday starting from 3.30pm to 4.00pm.  Parents and caregivers are requested to come during the above hours.

ATTENDANCE DUES

Attendance dues is $246.00 per child per year and is applicable to all child/children.  You can do payments online, setup automatic payments, pay by cash, cheque or through EPTPOS. For electronic payments bank details are as follows:  Islamic Education & Dawah Trust, Account Number 01-0249-0050273-05.  For reference put the name/year level of elders child. All attendance dues are to be paid by end of Term 2.
