IMPORTANT CAREERS NEWS

The University of Auckland:

  • School leaver and first year scholarships closes on 22 August. Website for scholarships: www.auckland.ac.nz/scholarships.
  • Bachelor of Education (teaching), Social Work and Sport, Health and Physical Education applications close on 1 December.
  • Applications for most other programmes closes on 1 December.

CAREERS EXPO

Years 10 – 13 students had a very successful day at the careers Expo at ASB Showgrounds.

 SCHOOL AFTAARI

Secondary girls are having their aftaari on Wednesday night and secondary boys will have it on Thursday night.

ATTENDANCE

It is very important that students are regular to school.  Students miss out on important lessons and consistency in their learning due to frequent absence from school.  NCEA students continuously work on their assessments throughout the year.

SWIMMING

Swimming will continue till end of this term.  Water is warm and all the students are encouraged to participate.

  OPEN DAY

Open day for year’s 1-6 parents. Parents can come and observe their child/children in class tomorrow (Wednesday 30 May) from 2.00 – 3.00pm.  C36, C38 and AU14, the open day will be on another day.  Class teachers will inform.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY

School will be closed on 4th June for Queen’s birthday holiday.

 

EID HOLIDAY

School will be closed for Eid on Friday 15th June, 2018. Even if Eid falls on Saturday, school will be closed on Friday. School re-opens for normal programme on Monday 18th June. Students are encouraged to come to school on Monday.

REMINDER: LIFE EDUCATION TRUST

Life Education caravan will be in school in week 9 and 10 of this term.  Years 7 – 8 will be paying $7.00 and years 1 – 6 will pay $5.00.  More details will follow.
